Design

This tent comes with everything that you could possibly need. It has two doors and vestibules so your partner doesn't have to climb over you in the middle of the night to use the restroom. The one pole and clip on design makes setup effortless. Unlike some of the more expensive brands, it actually comes with a footprint. Also included are ultralight aluminum stakes, a removable gear loft pocket, and a nifty little round stake presser that fits into the palm of your hand to easily push the stake into the ground.

The rainfly, bathtub, footprint, and carrying bag are all made of 210T 63D Poly Ripstop (PU5000). The inner tent is made from 190T 63D Poly Mesh. The tent poles and stakes are made of aluminum alloy. All quality materials that should last up to most general wear and tear you may encounter.

The packaged weight and size is much easier to manage if you are splitting it with your partner. We split up with one of us taking the rainfly and inner tent and the other taking the poles, stakes and footprint.The size of this tent stacks up with pretty much any competitor out there and comes in a little bit bigger than a few. It provides a roomy night sleep for you and your hiking partner. We are able to fit two self inflating sleeping pads side by side comfortably.

Review

For what I spent, I couldn't have imagined getting a better tent. I had looked at and considered all of the options. I had been leaning towards the REI Half Dome 2 person but also considered other expensive and lighter options like Big Agnes, Nemo, and MSR. The Zion 2 Person Backpacking Tent from Hyke & Byke has performed better than anticipated due to how easy it is to set up. My only issue has been making sure that it is completely staked out or condensation will build up inside. It may be my entry level tent to start backpacking but I anticipate having, using and loving this tent for many, many more adventures.
